Highlights
Day 1
Your safari to Uganda’s Murchison falls national park will start from Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakasongora district where you will encounter them in a trek.
After here we shall go for a lunch break and there after continue to our main destination, Murchison falls national park. The park covers 3,893 square kilometers. The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile which first races down 80 Kilometers of white water rapids before plunging 40m over the remnant rift valley wall at Murchison falls, the centre piece of the park.
Upon arrival, our driver will help with all the necessary clearances from the park gate to your lodge. From here, we shall go to the top of the falls, spend a bit of time where you will physically witness the world’s longest river, Nile explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the rift valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. At Murchison, the Nile squeezes through an 8m wide gorge and plunges with a thunderous roar into devil’s cauldron, creating a trademark rainbow. It’s an amazing experience, no doubt.
We shall continue to our lodging center and check in our rooms, shower and relax. Dinner and sleep
Day 2
Wake up a little bit early, freshen up, and sit down for a light breakfast. At about 6:45am, we shall set off for an early morning game drive. This excursion will enable you see animals such as lion and leopard (though rare), African elephant, hippopotamus, waterbuck, Rothschild’s giraffe, cape buffalo, Jackson hartebeest, oribi, warthog, Uganda Kob, Nile crocodile, monkey, baboon and many others plus an array of bird and plant species. This excursion might be long; it’s aimed at you having a full park experience; this excursion to last 3-4 Hours. You will return for lunch, relax a bit (shower if you wish) and off to a launch trip/ boat ride. This 3 hour boat ride along the River Nile will enable you see lots of birds, yawning hippos, elephants, crocodile and other animals along the river bank. After this exciting excursion you will hike to the top of the falls and our waiting vehicle and driver will be on standby to bring you back to the lodge; will relax have dinner and sleep.
Day 3
Again wake up early, grab a light breakfast and drive east of the park for chimp tracking. After, we shall have lunch and relax; if conditions allow, we may do an evening game drive as well.
Day 4
Check out of our rooms and drive back to Kampala with optional visits to any pineapple and mango farms
Safari highlights:
