Day 1-

Arrival at Entebbe international airport

On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver and guide who will transfer you to your booked accommodation facility for an overnight.

Day 2

   Murchison falls- The world’s most powerful and thunderous waterfalls

After our early breakfast, we shall set off for Murchison falls national park. This 5 hour journey will traverse the towns of Luwero, Nakasongora and Masindi. We shall stop over for a lunch break at Café Marlette or Kabalega dinners.

From here, continue to the park gate, get cleared and thereafter continue to gaze at the world’s most powerful waterfalls. You will see how water squeezes itself into a tiny gorge hence exploding in the air which creates a mini rainbow. We shall spend a bit of time here because its naturally beautiful and as we have always told our clients “ a visit to the falls can only be understood by those who’ve been their but had to again explain”. After this, we shall drive north of the park to our lodge. 

We shall check in shower and relax. At about 4:45pm in the afternoon, we shall embark on an afternoon cum evening game drive where you will see elephant, giraffe, Uganda Kob, warthog, hippopotamus,  waterbuck, oribi, different bird and plant species.  We may even find some lion chilling in the evening if lucky

Day 3:  Game drive and boat safari

We shall wake up, sit down for breakfast and start our morning game drive. This excursion offers you an opportunity to see animals start their day by looking for food; those which graze and those which feed on fresh. We may find lion either feasting on its prey or even trying its luck or just disappointed for having missed a meal

You will return to the lodge for a relaxation, then a lunch break

In the afternoon, we shall go for a boat safari close to the bottom of the falls; this excursion offers you that opportunity of seeing Nile crocodile, swimming hippopotamus, buffalo, elephant drinking water or even cooling off their bodies, an array of different bird species. Our onboard guide will explain each and everything to you as you move along the Nile.

Day 4

 Drive to Kidepo national park

We shall wake and sit down for breakfast check out of our rooms and drive to Kidepo national park, a true African wilderness. We shall stop in Gulu town for lunch then continue to the park, get cleared and embark on a sunset game drive in Narus valley; for lion, leopard and elephant.

Dinner and sleep at Savanna Safari lodge

Day 5

After breakfast, a morning game drive gets underway for ostrich, cheetah, and buffalo herds then in the afternoon visit the Kanangorok hot springs (these are volcanic features)

Day 6

After breakfast, it will be a cultural visit to the Karimajong homestead called Manyatta. You will learn about their tradition, cattle culture and warrior dances

In the afternoon, another thrilling cultural immersion of the Karimajong culture such as nomadic cattle camp where you will learn about their unique diet, the close relationship with their cattle and rich knowledge.

Cattle auction / market visit. This is a unique opportunity to interact with different tribes and shopping for unique memories

Day 7

After breakfast it will be a local bike tour. Hop on one of our local bikes, and together with a local guide you will cycle through the fascinating villages and meet the local people; learn about their daily life and feel the hospitality

Bird watching; Mount Moroto is truly unique for Uganda birding environment due to the scenery and bird species.

Brief facts about Kidepo valley national park

If you want to experience a true African wilderness in a mix of stunning ancient culture, then this particular park is the perfect destination for you. Located in the remote  Karamoja region, the park covers  a total land area of 1442 square kilometers  and is comprised of savanna vegetation, hills, valleys like the famous Narus valley. According to CNN travel, Kidepo was named the second most attractive and beautiful national parks in Africa due to charming and breath-taking landscape and abundant wildlife

Day 8

After our breakfast, we shall check out of our hotel, and drive to Jinja for a night break. We shall stop over for lunch in Mbale or Soroti town arriving in Jinja late evening

Day 9

After breakfast, we shall set off for Kampala with possible stops at the tea and sugar plantation also in a natural forest at Mabira
