Highlights

Day 1

Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, your adventure to the land of mountain gorilla will have officially began. One of the most unique, rare and sought-after safaris in the world is to track mountain gorilla in a natural and forested environment, South West of Uganda. Because of the rather long journey from Kampala to either Bwindi or Mgahinga national parks, you will lodge in Kampala or Entebbe upon arrival.

Day 2

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and off to south western Uganda. This rather long journey will be characterized by a stopover for lunch. You will also gaze at banana and tea plantations, rolling hills, long horned cattle, a transit through other national parks where you will chance yourself at lots of flora and fauna, fresh and organic fruits and vegetables, welcoming and hospitable people. You will arrive at either Bwindi or Mgahinga national parks (as dictated by the gorilla tracking group) late afternoon or early evening, check-in at the lodge, have a shower, dinner and sleep.

Day 3

You will wake up at 5:30am, freshen up and move to the restaurant for breakfast. After, you will go for a gorilla trek briefing, all will be expected to hold a gorilla tracking permit. You will be grouped accordingly (each group has 8 tracking members). Porters will carry your packed lunch and water; be prepared to walk/ meander  for about 5 hours or slightly more depending on the location of Gorillas. However, the walk is exciting and exercising and also characterized by scenic viewing, question and answer sessions. Do not also forget to carry your digital cameras, smart phones, binoculars and indeed anything to help you not miss out on anything. You will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and bed-in; this will be after gorillas have been found; a maximum of 1 hour is allowed for interaction with these majectic creatures.
